Awee and Effex Partner to Bring Human Cyber Resilience Directly Into the Dental Compliance Ecosystem

New platform integration gives Effex clients streamlined access to Awee’s cybersecurity awareness and Human Cyber Resilience capabilities, helping dental practices strengthen their people while supporting privacy and cybersecurity compliance requirements.

MONTRÉAL, QC — October 13, 2026 — Awee and Effex today announced a strategic partnership and platform integration designed to make cybersecurity awareness and Human Cyber Resilience easier to access for dental practices and Dental Service Organizations (DSOs).

Through the partnership, Awee is now available directly to Effex clients through the Effex platform, allowing dental organizations to subscribe to Awee’s cybersecurity awareness capabilities from within an environment they already use to manage compliance and operational risk.

The integration brings together two complementary approaches: Effex provides a cloud-based compliance platform purpose-built for dental practices and DSOs, while Awee focuses on reducing human cyber risk through engaging cybersecurity awareness, behavioral learning and measurable Human Cyber Resilience.

Making cybersecurity easier for busy dental practices

Dental practices increasingly need to manage cybersecurity alongside privacy, safety and regulatory responsibilities. In the United States, the HIPAA Security Rule includes security awareness and workforce training among its administrative safeguards. Awee’s capabilities are designed to support these broader privacy and cybersecurity compliance programs; awareness software alone does not establish compliance.

The Awee-Effex integration is designed to reduce the operational friction involved in adding an ongoing cybersecurity awareness program. Rather than introducing another disconnected process for dental teams to find, procure and manage, Effex clients can access Awee through the Effex ecosystem.

“Dental practices already have enough complexity to manage. Cybersecurity awareness shouldn’t become another administrative burden. Our partnership with Effex puts Human Cyber Resilience closer to where dental organizations already manage their compliance responsibilities. Together, we’re making it easier for practices to engage their teams, build safer cybersecurity habits and demonstrate that cybersecurity awareness is being actively managed.”

David Monroe, CEO, Awee

Combining compliance management with Human Cyber Resilience

Effex was built specifically around dental compliance and provides dental organizations with centralized tools for managing training, audits and inspections, incidents, action items, credentials, permits and other compliance activities across individual practices and multi-location DSOs.

Adding Awee extends that ecosystem into the human side of cybersecurity. Through Awee, participating Effex clients can provide employees with engaging cybersecurity learning designed to develop safer behaviors while gaining greater visibility into human cyber risk. Awee’s platform combines microlearning, interactive experiences, behavioral simulations, Cyberscore measurement and managed cybersecurity awareness capabilities.

“Our goal at Effex has always been to make compliance easier to manage so dental teams can spend more time focused on their practices and their patients. Cybersecurity and privacy are increasingly important parts of that responsibility. Integrating Awee into the Effex ecosystem gives our clients a practical way to strengthen cybersecurity awareness among their people while simplifying how they access and manage these capabilities.”

What Effex clients gain from the partnership

• Simplified access to Awee directly through the Effex platform.
• Dental-focused cybersecurity awareness designed around the risks and operational realities of dental organizations.
• Engaging, bite-sized learning that fits into busy work environments.
• Behavioral simulations that help employees recognize and respond to real-world cyber threats.
• Cyberscore measurement that provides visibility into Human Cyber Resilience and progress over time.
• Support for cybersecurity and privacy compliance programs, including workforce security awareness and training requirements relevant to frameworks such as HIPAA, PIPEDA, PHIPA, HIA, PIPA, Law 25 and PHIA.
• A simpler operational experience by bringing cybersecurity awareness closer to the compliance tools dental organizations already use.

The partnership reflects a shared objective between Awee and Effex: reduce complexity for dental organizations while helping their people, operations and patient information become more resilient.

A growing dental technology ecosystem

For Awee, the Effex integration is part of a broader strategy to make Human Cyber Resilience available through the technology platforms, associations and partners dental organizations already trust. For Effex, the partnership expands an ecosystem designed to help dental practices and DSOs centralize and simplify compliance management.

Awee and Effex are making cybersecurity awareness easier to access, easier to manage and more relevant to the people responsible for protecting today’s dental practices.
